Your care starts here
At Heide Clinic, we believe that healthcare should be personalised, inclusive and collaborative. We want you to feel empowered. From your first enquiry through to ongoing follow-up care, our team are dedicated to providing expert care in a respectful and safe environment.

Prepare for your appointment
Your first visit is an opportunity for us to listen an understand your needs, as well as make an assessment and provide management options. Before your appointment we will often request your prior results, including blood tests and ultrasounds or other imaging. Our team administration team will guide you through the process and are happy to answer your questions at any stage.

After Your Appointment
We will always write a letter to your referring doctor to ensure continuity of care. We will often provide you with a copy of this letter, or a summary of your consultation - we recognise that a lot of information is discussed in your consultations and sometimes it's difficult to remember it all.

Fees and rebates
Heide Clinic operates as a private practice. Consultation fees vary depending on the appointment type, and Medicare rebates are available for eligible patients. You’ll receive clear information about costs, rebates, and payment options when booking your appointment.
Similarly, if you are booked for surgery, you will receive information and instructions regarding payments and rebates. It is always advised that you confirm coverage with you private health insurer.

Inclusive and accessible care
Our clinic is designed to be inclusive and accessible for all patients. Please let our team know if you have specific needs — we’re here to make your visit as comfortable and supported as possible.

Peri-operative care
For patients booked for surgery with a Heide clinician, we will assist you to feel well-prepared for your procedure. Your clinician will provide you with written or online information about your procedure. For patients undergoing procedures for pelvic pain and/or endometriosis, your clinician may recommend the Matilda Health App (an App-based resource to guide your prehab and recovery). Our administration staff will ensure you have a timely post-operative appointment booked. On the Heide Clinic Resources page patients can locate procedure-specific educational resources.
